All passionate golfers and those who want to become golfers will find 4 different courses on the mainland where they can tee off in the Maremma. You may have heard of one or the other, others are still among the insider tips in Tuscany. Therefore I would like to introduce all of you today so that you are well informed for your holiday in the Maremma.

SATURNIA

The 18-hole Saturnia golf course is part of the Termi di Saturnia health resort (internally linked to the hotel’s scheda) and is about an hour’s drive from the sea, surrounded by the beautiful natural landscape of the Maremma. The golf course in Punta Ala has been named one of the 5 best courses in Europe by journalists, both because of the technical conditions and because of the scenic beauty. I hear that again and again from the guests who play here, how breathtaking the view of the sea is. This means that in Punta Ala you are challenged twice, on the one hand technically and on the other hand to concentrate more on the ball than on the sea.

GAVORRANO

The Golf Club Toscana belongs to the Il Pelagone Hotel & Golf Resort on a slight slope with a view of the sea from Scarlino. From hole 18 you can even see the island of Elba. The course meets international standards and is particularly well known for its good golf school. A special highlight is the swimming pool of the affiliated resort, as well as the numerous offers such as childcare, which make a family vacation in Il Pelagone particularly attractive.

ARGENTARIO

The Argentario Golf Resort & SPA with a 5 star standard has the most technically demanding course compared to all others. The PGA International Golf Course is lovingly embraced by the lush, Mediterranean natural landscape of the Maremma and always opens up spectacular views of the sea. The 2,700 m² SPA is particularly pleasant, where you can relax.

MY ADVICE

Argentario is best explored by boat.
