This Menorca villa is a beautifully restored 250 year old farmhouse (finca), set in 160 acres (65ha) of rewilded farmland, tucked away just outside Alaior, in the centre of Menorca and with close access to some of the best pristine beaches the island has to offer as well as lively towns for exploring and dining.

The Villa is a perfect choice for a group or family holiday, the house sleeps up to 12 people, with six bedrooms, five bathrooms (with Bramley products), a 13m x 6m saline swimming pool and a private tennis court. The villa will have the capacity for 16 guests in 2024, with the addition of a new two bedroom annex in the garden.

The accommodation consists of three double ensuite bedrooms (two with ceiling fans and one with a/c), one twin bedroom (with ceiling fan) and shower room nearby, two interconnecting twin bedrooms (both with a/c) with ensuite bathroom. The house has WiFi and a Sonos sound system throughout the outside terraces for a fabiolous sound experience based on your mood.

The property have turned all the farmland into a nature reserve and use no herbicides, pesticides or artificial fertilisers. Local cattle graze the area in winter and we allow some fields to be ploughed and wheat sown, in order to vary the habitat. The ancient oak wood is left undisturbed and is a nesting area for our red kites. The land is managed solely for the benefit of the indigenous flora and fauna and, of course, the native tortoises!

The house owners wish with this property has been to modernise but preserving the strong character of the finca whilst at the same time making it as eco-friendly as possible.

They have made many eco-conscious decisions with the finca over the years and have recently been granted an Agrotourism License from the local government.

They have installed underground grey water storage tanks. This is where all bath, shower and hand basin water together with all rain water from the terraces and roofs is collected and then used to irrigate the lawns, garden and orchard. Also the heat and the hot water is provided with solar panels.

Single use plastic is another major concern of locals in the island of Menorca, especially plastic water bottles. In this Villa, they have recently invested in a water purification system which now allows guests to drink the water from the well by the orchard. This saves the need to buy and dispose of plastic bottles of mineral water.
